Cafe Am Hirschgrund in Rathen

We spent a couple of great days with the Mildner family and were just thrilled. The atmosphere was very warm and familiar. The food "like at a mother's" - fantastic. Extra wishes were fulfilled, thank you Elke 😊 It's great what the small team is doing. We can only recommend the Cafe am Hirschgrund, a bit away from the hustle and bustle. Thanks for the great time 😊

Were there today. Food is not fresh, unfortunately only ready-made products. The menu advertises fresh food. Had the baked cheese platter, the cheese corners were still frozen inside. Unfortunately there was no concession on the part of the service (coffee on the house or price reduction) We wouldn't come back again.

If you want to eat well, this is the right place! On the terrace we not only enjoyed the beauty of the Elbe Valley, but also the good cuisine. The short walk from Rathen is worth it.

An oasis to feel good! We are here again, in 2020 for the second time, unfortunately only 4 nights because everything was already booked! But 4 nights are better than having to do without these beautiful days completely! During this visit we found everything as it was during our previous stays: cleanliness, family warmth and friendliness, excellent cuisine and "our" cozy guest apartment! We wish the Mildner family and the good soul Elke all the best - until 2021! Sonja and Sascha Schaefer from Leipzig!

We had a great fish meal by the Elbe river. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. The Weinschorle was refreshing as well as the dark beers.

We ate twice very tasty and very good here. For me, the potato salad is the highlight par excellence, for that alone I would always come back. All the other dishes we had were also very good. Simple home-style cuisine, but delicious.

Nice little inn in a great location. Direct view of the Elbe. With a warm, friendly welcome and small, good cuisine. Would love to come back.

The view of the food, not to be beaten. Eating very tasty, especially recommend the raspberry balls. It cries out for more. The waitress was so loving and kind.

Great Food, Great Service, Great View

I ate Szegediner Gulasch with Böhmischen Knödeln and it was so delicious. Also everything is really affordable. Main dishes change between 8 to 11 Euros. Everything else in the area is super expensive and also really lame. I highly recommend this place ❤️
